Download Eastern Djs Show - LBJ Special - Live set on Bassjunkees.com - 22nd November
On the 22nd November's Eastern Djs show we had a very special guest straight from Finland, Helsinki - LBJ!
LBJ did a live set made purely out of unreleased tracks, some of which you may never get a chance to hear. His latest tunes will be relased in December 2006 on Botchit Breaks and are called "Harmaa" and "Saqawa", also in the mix.
Being both - Producer and DJ - Jonas Verwijnen (a.k.a. LBJ a.k.a Lazy Bones Jones) has been involved in music since childhood. He started his musical career by playing in several Helsinki based alternative bands, and became interested in producing electronic music, from playing backing music to operating a well equipped studio.
His solo project LBJ began in 98 influenced by many dance acts of the time like the Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, the Ganja Crew, and labels like Botchit and TCR. LBJs first live gig was at the Helsinki Street Party 2000.
His gigs since have included venues and clubs such as Illusions morning party, Foundation, Muzik World Tour Helsinki, Resistance, The Missing Link morning party, Helsinki Street Party 2001/2, Saunabar, Jump Inn and resident at Club Motion. In addition his expanded live project has played at all of Finlands major festivals. He has performed alongside artists including Rennie Pilgrem, Stanton Warriors, Meat Katie, Databass, Atomic Hooligan, Jay Cunning, Iain Taylor, DJ Friendly, and many more.
